Biman Ghati (Air Port)

British Government has established Lalmonirhat Airfields on 1166.68 acres of land during WW-2. This airfield was extensively used by allied air forces at that time. Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) has taken over this airfield on November 1982. This airfield has a 6000’ paved runway which is used by BAF aircraft. This airfield was also used by civil aviation for commercial flights by short take off and landing (STOL) aircrafts of private airlines. Currently STOL service is discontinued.
