Tista Barrage

It is established in Hatibandha Upazila of Lalmonirhat district. It contains 44 gates and 08 cannel regulators. It is inaugurated in 1990. It costs about 1000 core taka. Though Regions of south side of this Barrage get irrigation facilities, districts of north side as well as Lalmonirhat district does not get any facilities. However large portion of this district is falling into Tista River due to Tista Barrage every year.
